Area21 Paintball

Have you guys played Paintball before? Its like playing 'counter-strike' in reality. Its the new extreme sport craze in Sabah. Imagine shooting pellets of paint at your friends and family in a real life, SAFE environment. The Sport also improves teamwork, communication skill and agility  of oneself.

To start things off, I got a call from Andrew of Area21, said that he need Maverick's help in bringing his business to another level. So we had a meeting and things are going from smooth to a blast of ideas.

So this is what we came up with. And I'm proud to announce Area21's 2 months of change challenge begins........NOW!

11/04/09

We arrived at Wisma Merdeka sometime around noon. The day was hot. It looks like its going to rain (which it does) but its the day we look forward for. Me and my lovely assistance a.k.a my wife ( thanks Dear) went straight in the war zone. While I'm at the main entrance, giving out area21 flyers to every passer-by, she went solo inside. Wandering around, giving out the flyers to roughly anyone who's in her path, entertaining questions and giving info ( I tell you, she 's a pro!). After we're done everything ( a total of 500 flyers) we went to 2ND floor to eat before calling it a day and went home. Its been a good day (except for the heavy downpour!) Can't wait for tomorrow....

Ohh, ada pula ni barang d kk!?

I started out early morning and already the market is pack with people be it local and foreigners alike. Once I get there, I unpack my bag of magic, take out a stack of our new brochures and begin my journey distributing it. It very nice to see that most of the people here are very friendly and ask a lot of question about Area21. Before I came, they dont even know that this game exist, be it here nor in Malaysia. So there is a very wide market for paintball in this region and we are taking advantage of that. At the end of the day, a total of 400 of the new brochures had been distributed. Im proud to call it a day and to celebrate, I indulged myself with a fresh cone ice-cream( my favourites..).

ILP (Institut Latihan Perindustrian) Roadshow

Me and Andrew went to ILP with invitation from Mr Ariffin(one of the lecturer), to hold a paintball roadshow to introduced the sport to its student. Both me and Andrew saw this as a great opportunity to promote our student package. So we immeditely plan our marketing strategies.

Just as we arrive there, we were greeted by Mr.Ariffin and he shown us our booth. As we unpack our equipment, we were surrounded by curious onlookers, eager to see what we have to in store. There's 'wow' everywhere when Andrew took out his beloved paintball marker, the blood Invert Mini. Then, to our suprise, one of Mr. Ariffin lecturer friend's brought along his Woodsball Marker( M16 Replica) and some paintball magazines (really thanks for that!). After Andrew finished setting up the laptop for a video presentation, its time for us to do our 'Show".

'Oh ni pula paintball'

Andrew doing his magic....

We ended the day at around 4.30 pm, All in all, it was a great marketing campaign and the students managed to convinced Mr.Ariffin for a game some time in May.

Thank you once again to M.r Ariffin, fellow lecturer, and of course, all ILP students who had shown a great interest during that day. Thank you!
